Skyline DC Energy is proud to be a part of the new London Film Studios, which is currently under construction. We were awarded the project to build new studios to form an extension to the existing studios in December 2021.
With the construction of four large stages totalling 6500m2 of floor space plus workshops and office space of circa 3000m2, this substantial building is sure to attract the biggest of productions. Skyline is incredibly proud to be a part of these new studios.
The external finishes are nearly complete with the Glass Curtain Wall to the entrance and the Canopies being the final elements to be finished. The kerbs are being installed along with the 1st course of tarmacking comple.
Powering the Studios with a CCHP System
Power was an issue on the new site as there was no access to the grid, so we needed to find alternative power solutions. This is where Skyline DC Energy came in. We installed a 3mgw green gas powered mini substation with solar pv and energy storage systems to run completely off grid and 100% carbon free, providing enough energy to power the entire new studio and more.
